Six months ago, Elle Fanning and her boyfriend Max Minghella separated. Breakups are never easy, but now it seems that Fanning is ready to give love another chance. Recently, she was seen holding hands with Rolling Stone magazine’s CEO Gus Wenner after going on a dinner date in New York City.

Elle Fanning’s New Relationship

Fanning is 25 and Wenner is 33, so the age gap isn’t too bad, and they’ve been enjoying each other’s company. In early November, they were photographed going to dinner at the Waverly Inn and then grabbing drinks after with a group of other celebs, like Lorde. Clearly, the dinner date went well!

Fanning was wearing a black coat, loose blue jeans, and black flats and paired her outfit with a small black leather handbag. Her boyfriend was wearing a gray flannel, blue jeans, and a black jacket. They kept it casual while also making sure they looked nice for their evening.

Here’s to New Beginnings

Fanning and her ex Minghella, who’s also an actor, ended their relationship after four years, which is a long time, especially in the celebrity world. In April of this year, she confirmed that they broke up when chatting to Harper’s Bazaar UK.

No one is sure when she and Gus officially met and started dating, but they seem to be hitting it off well. He was previously rumored to be dating actress Maya Hawke in 2019 and model Jessica Gomes in 2018, but those must have not worked out. Elle told Harper’s Bazaar UK that she believes in love at first sight and is a hopeless romantic, so we wish the best for her and her new beau, whether they’re just having fun or looking for something more serious!

It’s Unbelievable How Far Harry Melling Has Come Since Dudley Dursley

Harry Melling as Dudley Dursley

Remember the kid who played Dudley Dursley in Harry Potter? The honor of portraying Vernon and Petunia’s Muggle son, and Harry’s insolent cousin, fell on British actor Harry Melling. Looking at his impressive career since the Harry Potter franchise, it’s clear to see that Melling harbors a rare talent, as evident in his latest movie — The Pale Blue Eye.

From Dudley Dursley to Edgar Allan Poe

Gone are the days when fans associated Harry Melling with the obnoxious chubby Muggle Dudley Dursley, who was a sharp contrast to his cousin Harry. Today, everyone is singing Melling’s praises after seeing his performance alongside Christian Bale in Netflix’s brand new, highly-popular, film The Pale Blue Eye.

In it, Melling portrays the role of the young cadet Edgar Allan Poe who, as we all know, would later go on to become a world-famous author. The plot centers around veteran detective Augustus Landor (Christian Bale) as he investigates a series of gruesome murders with the help of Poe. Melling’s performance is remarkable, and despite the A-list cast (Gillian Anderson, Harry Lawtey, Lucy Boynton, and Robert Duvall, to name a few), he really stood out.

Melling on His Transformation

Although most remember Melling from his chubby Dudley Dursley days, the actor actually went through a weight loss transformation in his late teens. He recently talked about it to the press, stating that it wasn’t a “conscious decision at all,” but he understands how that would be a popular topic of discussion, especially considering his famous Harry Potter character.

Instead of focusing on the public scrutiny he was under, Melling decided to focus on getting through drama school and honing his craft. The results are obvious — with memorable roles like Harry Beltik in The Queen’s Gambit, and now Edgar Allan Poe in The Pale Blue Eye, one thing’s crystal clear — Harry Melling is capable of so much more than what we saw from him as Dudley Dursley.
